The importance of probiotic research

Our Head of Discovery, Adam Baker, talks about the importance of probiotic research.

The importance of researching probiotic bacteria cannot be overlooked as all bacterial strains are unique and have very different ways of working.

We are constantly doing research to expand our understanding of how each bacterial strain works and what it does to the human body. And this is where the LGG® strain becomes especially interesting - it has so many mechanisms of conferring possible health benefits. But the only way of utilizing these mechanisms and keep on improving the high quality of the product is by studying the LGG® strain - which means there is a lot of very exciting work to be done.

We have to keep studying the LGG® strain in order to fully understand the ways it confers these possible health benefits.
